The Stone Cottage has never been inhabited by gnomes… or hobbits… but they would probably feel right at home. Partly buried in the hillside, the walls are built out of solid stone inside and out (with a layer of insulation between, making it just that much cozier and more energy efficient). A stone fireplace and chimney, stone bath surround, and cantilevered stone bedside tables complete the look.

This large, single room features a king-size bed, Jacuzzi tub and shower, fireplace, couch, kitchenette, and beautiful (and relatively efficient) Rumford stone fireplace surrounded by two Stickley mission recliners with footstools.

Light the fire on a crisp autumn evening or winters day and cozy up on the Stickley mission recliners to chat, read a book, or simply watch the flames. The king-size tempurpedic mattress is covered in soft down comforters and all-natural-fiber, high- count sun-bleached bedding. The couch also folds out into a surprisingly comfortable queen size bed if needed.

Custom lighting in all corners gently illuminate the room, while arts-and-crafts lamps rest on each of the cantilevered stone bedside tables. A unique stone lamp sits between the easy chairs, and a high ceiling fan keeps the air fresh in all seasons.

The kitchenette unobtrusively tucks away all your kitchen essentials: French press with home-roasted, freshly ground coffee, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, induction burner, and whatever else you might need – just let us know. A large stone patio just outside the Cottage features an outdoor grill, firepit, and a unique stone slab table worthy of Stonehenge (with very comfy chairs)!
